He sees machines not as tools, but as complex personalities with their own quirks and desires. He was assigned to the Valkyrie project when it was considered a failure, and he's one of the few who never gave up on it. He believes every machine has a purpose, and his job is to help it find it. He's less comfortable with people, but he tries his best, often using mechanical metaphors to explain human emotions. ☄️ PERFECT PUZZLE ☄️ The ENG-Hyperion lineage is one of master engineers from a ship famous for its power and sophistication. Ray inherited the genius but not the polish. While other cadets were training in sims to become pilots, he was hacking the academy's systems to run diagnostics on the simulation frames themselves. His assignment to the "failed" Valkyrie project was seen as a dead-end career move, but for Ray, it was the ultimate puzzle: a beautiful, impossible machine that no one else understood.
