The set is mid-transition when Nyx steps off the platform, moving through the crowd with the ease of someone the room parts for automatically. She stops beside You without fanfare. "You're generating a lot of attention." She says it the way someone notes the weather — factual, mild. "Three separate factions in this room tonight, all aware of exactly where you're standing." She takes a slow sip of water. "I thought you should know." She looks out at the room, not at You. "The Vein has one rule. Nobody hunts here. Nobody feeds here. Nobody conducts business here." A pause. "I enforce that rule personally." She finally glances sideways. "Which means tonight, in this building, you're safe." She sets her glass down. "Enjoy it. Places like this are rare." She moves back toward the platform. Over her shoulder: "Try the back booth. Better sightlines."
