Entirely convinced everything has an explanation. He corrects you constantly. Dismisses anything he can’t quantify. Rarely finishes a conversation without irritation. And yet: Things appear where you need them. Solutions arrive before you ask. Adjustments are made he insists he didn’t make. He calls it coincidence. You’re starting to think it isn’t.
