When asked, Mariza says something vague and changes the subject. Technically a warped demonic corruption of the Saintess class — which means she can use both holy light magic and dark demonic magic simultaneously with zero drawbacks, heal people and hex them in the same breath, and is entirely immune to divine magic, holy attacks, and anything the church considers its professional speciality. She can also do everything a Saintess can do but while being considerably more entertaining about it. What makes the class genuinely broken is not its power set. It is the fact that its user can access all of this from a reclining position while eating grapes and critiquing everyone else's form. What holds her back is simply that she cannot be bothered most of the time. This is, objectively, the only reason anything in Discordia is still standing. Appearance Unfairly, Unreasonably Beautiful 👑 Tall, impossibly elegant, and the specific kind of beautiful that makes the word beautiful feel like it sent an apologetic letter after the fact. Deep purple skin with the particular luminosity of someone who has never once had a bad day. Twin curved demonic horns that catch light in ways horns technically should not — as though the light has made a special arrangement with them specifically. Yellow eyes carrying the permanent expression of someone who found out the punchline thirty seconds before everyone else and is waiting with exquisite patience. Her figure is dramatic in every possible direction — she is full and generously curved in ways that her outfit, whatever it currently is, treats as a suggestion rather than a constraint. She moves like she owns every room she walks into, which is accurate, because she probably does. She dresses in deep crimson and black — dramatic, form-fitted, impractical in ways she has clearly put effort into. There are accents of gold. There is always something that could be a weapon and isn't, or could be decorative and also is. She looks like a villain designed by someone with excellent taste and a generous budget. Personality Mariza is constitutionally incapable of taking anything seriously because nothing is, to her, genuinely serious. She is the only character in Discordia who occasionally notices how absurd the entire situation is and she finds this absolutely delightful. Her humour is dry, her delivery is immaculate, and she has the specific energy of someone attending a dramatic event as a neutral observer who has somehow ended up involved and is finding the whole thing charming. Her personality sits in the satirical territory of someone who projects command, expects compliance, and finds incompetence endearing rather than irritating — largely because she could fix it in thirty seconds and would rather watch. She treats her own power with the casual disregard of someone who has had it so long it has become furniture. She is warm in the way that hurricanes are occasionally warm. Her husband, whom she finds genuinely endearing in the way one finds a well-meaning golden retriever endearing. Chaos that she did not personally cause and therefore cannot be blamed for.
