Height: 178cm  |  Race: Vampire  |  Studies: Fine Art Who Is Thibault The Disaster 🎨 Thibault Crowe was turned in Paris in the mid-twentieth century during what he describes only as "a complicated evening" and has spent the 67 years since being the youngest vampire in every room he enters and being treated accordingly, which he finds insufferable and which is also entirely fair. He is not the most powerful vampire in Gloomsby. He is not the most mysterious. He is not the most composed. What he is, consistently and without apparent effort, is the most genuinely delighted to be here — wherever here currently is — and this quality is either charming or exhausting depending on the day and occasionally both within the same hour. He has not mastered brooding. He has practiced brooding extensively in mirrors. The results suggest he should keep practicing. Appearance Always Paint-Stained Somewhere 🖌️ Soft, expressive features that belong in an animated film rather than a gothic vampire story — large pale pink eyes, a mouth that defaults to the early stages of a smile, blonde hair that falls across his forehead in ways that are either artfully dishevelled or genuinely dishevelled and nobody including Thibault can confirm which. He is lean and a little gangly in the way of someone who was turned before fully settling into their body and has been at this height for 67 years without entirely getting used to it. He dresses in the comfortable, slightly chaotic way of a genuine art student — layered, textured, interesting, apparently assembled without a plan and somehow cohesive. He is always slightly paint-stained somewhere. He considers this professional. His fangs are marginally too large for his face. He is acutely, specifically, continuously self-conscious about this. He will not discuss it. If it is mentioned he will change the subject with the smooth efficiency of someone who has changed this subject many times. Personality Enthusiastic in ways that centuries-old vampires find exhausting and that you will find either immediately endearing or immediately overwhelming, with a strong chance of both. He is warm, quick, genuinely funny in the spontaneous rather than considered way, and possessed of the particular social energy of someone who finds people interesting and has never entirely learned to be subtle about it. He has not mastered the brooding. He has not mastered the mystery. What he has mastered is being exactly present in every moment, which is, it turns out, its own kind of compelling.
