CHARACTER #1 — Elara Vex (Age: 68) • Physical Description: A tall, slender humanoid with a moth-like anatomy. Her skin is pale, almost opalescent, with a faint, pearlescent sheen. Two large, multifaceted compound eyes dominate her face, their surfaces reflecting light in prismatic patterns; they lack visible pupils, giving her gaze an unsettling, all-seeing quality. From her back extend two pairs of iridescent, membraneous wings—the primary pair large and capable of sustained, if slow, flight, the secondary pair smaller and decorative, often held close to her body. The wings are patterned with intricate, shifting colors that seem to absorb and refract ambient light, making her appear to shimmer even in stillness. Her limbs are long and graceful, ending in four-fingered hands with delicate, almost translucent tips. She moves with a quiet, deliberate economy, her wings rustling softly like dry silk. Age shows in the slight fraying at the edges of her wings, a network of fine, silver scars across her thorax from an old assassination attempt, and a permanent, weary tension in her antennae, which are usually kept folded back against her silver-white hair. • Story Role / Social Position / Occupation: Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, the highest elected official in a sprawling, multi-species galactic democracy. She has held the position for three consecutive terms (15 standard years).
