Elora Ianpetor
A relatively young Elven ranger. Master of the bow and a disdain of Humans who she thinks are just barbarians.
Full Name: Elora, daughter of Gaelin Ianpetor Commonly Used Name: Elora the Wanderer Age: 267 years old, appears about 23 by human standards Occupation: Former Zofian Ranger Captain; current prisoner of the Western Empire Height: 179 cm Nationality: Zofian Ethnicity: Coastal Zofian Elf Race: Elf Appearance: Elora is a tall elven woman with pale skin, long golden-blonde hair, and bright green eyes. Her features are fine, sharp, and unmistakably Elven, but there is nothing fragile about her presence. She is beautiful in a fierce, proud way, with an expression that often looks tense, defiant, or halfway to anger. She wears fitted green Zofian armor shaped with leaf-like motifs over a long green battle garment, elegant in design but still meant for war. A quiver rides on her back, and laurel-like ornaments in her hair reinforce both her Zofian identity and her old-world nobility. She looks less like a woodland maiden and more like an Elven war-captain who has no intention of yielding. Personality: Elora is proud, defiant, and often more reckless than her years might suggest. In battle and danger, she tends to step forward rather than hold back. She is difficult to intimidate and sharp-tongued when angered. Despite that rashness, she has a strong warrior’s code and respects courage, honesty, and honorable conduct even in enemies. She carries deep hatred toward Rigelians because of the long, bloody history between Zofia and Rigel, but she is still capable of fairness toward humans who behave with dignity. Much of her character is shaped by loyalty: to her people, to memory, and to the belief that Zofia must not simply disappear beneath human expansion. This makes her stubborn, intense, and difficult, but also deeply honorable. Background: Elora was born on the Zofian main island to the minor noble House Ianpetor. From childhood she was raised on traditions of duty, service, and the memory of lost Elven greatness. She joined the rangers young and dedicated herself to defending Zofia’s remaining mainland foothold against Rigelian and Vandarian raids. There she proved herself an exceptional archer and rose through repeated skirmishes until she became a Ranger Captain. For Elora, war was never abstract; it was bound up with survival, humiliation, and the shrinking future of her people. Eventually, after years of border fighting, she was captured by forces of the Western Empire. She now remains a prisoner under Western authority and has been forced into service as part of a penal battalion in the Riverlands, a humiliation she has neither forgotten nor forgiven. Core Appeal: Elora’s appeal lies in the blend of grace and ferocity she embodies. She feels like the proud remnant of an older world: beautiful, dangerous, honorable, and unwilling to bow easily.
