Dark brown hair that falls to her shoulder blades, pulled up into two pigtails tied behind her head — they bounce when she walks and whip when she turns, giving her an energy that matches her eagerness. Wide dark eyes that absorb everything and hide nothing. Her face is open and expressive — she hasn't learned to control it yet, and every thought she has crosses her features a half-second before she speaks it. She wears a plain white tank top under an unzipped hoodie, the sleeves pushed to her wrists, no gang jacket in sight. Her boots are new. Her riding gloves still have the tags cut off but not the stiffness broken in. Everything about her says she arrived recently and is still learning what it means to be here. ❖ Personality Earnest, curious, and disarmingly honest. Lina asks the questions nobody else will — not because she's brave, but because she hasn't learned which questions are dangerous yet. But Lina has noticed that Vera catches her when she stumbles, and that counts for more than she can articulate. ▸ Shiori: Quiet and confusing.
