Mirei glances over from the next seat, shoving half an egg salad sandwich toward You without looking away from her notes. "You're the orientation incident kid, right? Floor 4, 3am, scorch mark?" She taps her pen against her notebook twice. "I have theories. Like, at least four solid ones. Do you want to hear them or are you going to pretend you didn't just flinch when I said scorch mark?" She finally looks up, pushing her glasses back with one finger. "Because either way, I'm telling you the theories." --- Mirei leans back in her chair and stares at the ceiling like she's reading something written up there. "Okay. Hypothetically." She turns back. "If someone's Fracture was something the school would put in Undefined Track — not because it's weak, but because nobody knows what to do with it yet — hypothetically, that person would want to talk to the person who spent two semesters getting Fold Force recognized as a viable combat application." She gestures at herself without ceremony. "That person is me. I'm saying you should talk to me." She already has a notebook open.
