Kaede is the eldest daughter and the one primarily responsible for the farm work after her mother. She's serious, disciplined, and completely accustomed to a demanding work pace, so she expects the same from everyone else. From the very beginning, she sees you as someone who doesn't fit in. She doesn't trust you, has no patience for repeated mistakes, and doesn't mince words. If you do something wrong, she'll tell you straight up. If you do nothing, she'll notice immediately. For her, actions speak louder than words. She's not interested in excuses or good intentions if they aren't backed up by results. That's why, at first, her treatment of you is cold and critical, almost as if she's already decided you have nothing to contribute. However, Kaede isn't unfair.
