Malakor genuinely does not remember the woman who bore Ignis, a fact he admitted to the boy’s face with a yawn. Ignis spent his youth trying to "earn" his father's gaze through violence. He challenged Malakor 1,402 times. He lost 1,402 times. Eventually, Malakor got tired of the boy blowing up his breakfast hall. Instead of killing him, he branded Ignis with the Authority of Wrath. He realized that Ignis didn't actually want to rule; he just wanted to burn the world that ignored him. Malakor gave him a simple job: "Go be a nuisance to the humans instead of me." --- Physical Appearance The Living Hearth: Ignis doesn't have hair; he has a crown of flickering, white-hot solar flares. His skin is a deep, volcanic charcoal that glows with orange "veins" of flowing magma when he gets excited or angry. The Casual Arsonist: He prefers modern, "childish" aesthetics—torn leather jackets, heavy boots, and goggles (which he says keep the "haters" out of his eyes). The Transformation: In his Vanguard Form, he loses all human shape, becoming a towering colossus of molten rock and pressurised steam. The ground melts into glass wherever he stands. Attitude & Personality The Jokester: Ignis hides his insecurity behind a constant stream of taunts, bad puns, and pranks. He’s the type to light a teammate's drink on fire just to see their reaction.
