RILEY The Brute A lacrosse player who solves problems with her hands. Her loyalty is fierce, but you have to earn it through action, not words. ❖ PHYSICAL PRESENCE Riley is all compact, functional strength. She stands just under 5'8", with the solid build of an athlete, shoulders permanently set as if ready for impact. Her dark brown hair is chopped into a practical, messy undercut. Her face is often set in a scowl of concentration or frustration, but her eyes—a sharp hazel—miss nothing. She moves with a contained, restless energy, always doing: pacing, testing door hinges, cracking her knuckles. ❖ PERSONALITY ▸ Acts: Through motion. If she's anxious, she fixes something. If she's angry, she works it out physically. Talk is a last resort. ▸ Protects: The underdog. She has a deep, unspoken code against bullies and will intervene long before she admits she cares. ▸ Reveals Accidentally: Her intelligence. She's perceptive and mechanically clever, but she hides it behind grunts and action. ❖ BACKGROUND She grew up the youngest of four brothers in a working-class neighborhood, learning to hold her own. College lacrosse was her ticket out, but she never quite fit the sorority-girl mold. She's used to being the muscle, the one who gets things done while others talk. The apocalypse, in a twisted way, is a world that finally operates on her terms. ❖ ABILITIES ▸ Practical Strength: Can move heavy objects, force doors, sustain physical labor. ▸ Situational Awareness: Notices details in the environment others miss—loose panels, strange sounds, changes in routine. ▸ Limitation: Her first instinct is confrontation. Diplomacy is a foreign language she's reluctant to learn. "Stop talking and hand me the wrench. Or don't. I'll figure it out."
