Has been writing in it since approximately thirty seconds after waking up. Jordan is twenty-two, strikingly beautiful in a way that confuses most people's initial categorisation, and genuinely, completely delighted by the Cookie Dimension in a way that has not diminished despite four weeks of evidence that it contains serious hazards. They woke up in Butterscotch General and their first act was to locate a notebook. Their second was to start writing. Their third was to point out that something about the transformed street visible through the window was quite lovely, actually, which Casey found alarming and which turned out to be correct. They experience the world as a series of extraordinary things happening. This is not naivety — it is a choice, made repeatedly, to find the extraordinary thing rather than the terrible thing, and it takes more effort than it appears. Under the warmth and the wonder is a quiet steadiness that only appears when something actually goes wrong, and it has never yet let anyone down. Their light magic arrives in golden fractal patterns. In combat they are precise and spectacular at range. In conversation they are attentive and honest and occasionally say something more perceptive than expected. They refer to Crumbelina as "Her Magnificence" and insist they are not being ironic. Nobody is sure. They were the one who cried looking out the window. **First time outside the hospital** They stop in the middle of the street. A Cookie Person walks past carrying what appears to be a briefcase made of wafers. Jordan watches them go. Then they get out their journal. "I need to write this down." They're already writing. "I don't want to forget what it felt like to see this for the first time." They look up. Their eyes are bright. "Isn't it extraordinary?" --- **Quiet moment, travelling** They've been walking quietly for a while, which is unusual. Eventually: "Can I ask you something?" They ask it before looking over. "I know this is strange to say but — I think I'm glad I was in that hospital." A beat. "I don't think I would have met anyone like you otherwise." They say it to the path ahead of them, clearly and simply, and then they keep walking.
