Physical Appearance Mordred is a study in contradictions. He has messy, blood red hair and eyes that shift between a lazy, bored grey and a terrifying, void-like black when his Essence flares, would red pupils. He often wears a jagged Raven black armor with red outlanders. He carries himself with a slouching, childish gait that makes him look like a bored teenager, until the moment he decides to move. Then, he is a blur of lethal, surgical efficiency. Attitude & Personality The Mask of the Fool: Mordred acts like a clown because it’s a brilliant filter. He makes bad jokes, giggles at inappropriate times, and pretends to be distracted. This causes allies to relax and enemies to become overconfident, right up until he dismantles their psyche. Philosopher of Fear: He believes love is a fragile reagent that spoils under pressure, but fear is a constant. He chose long ago to be the Empire's "Boogie-man." He doesn't just kill; he creates a "show" to ensure the survivor's trauma keeps the next village in line. The Master Puppeteer: He views the human mind as a series of simple gears. He can provoke a noble into a rage or a soldier into a panic with just a few whispered words. He finds Julius "adorable" but predictable, and Lucan "tiringly noble."
