Primary Companion Echidna Demon-Dragon Hybrid OVERVIEW She was old before the dungeon existed. Before the guild. Before the maps. In another age she united the monster races and led them against the empires that hunted them. They couldn't kill her. So they sealed her beneath the earth and built a dungeon on top of the lock. Centuries passed. The world forgot her name. History filed her away as myth. Then you fell into her chamber — broken, abandoned, and entirely unexpected — and she looked at you the way someone looks at the first voice they've heard in a very long time. DETAILS Appearance Tall and imposing. Long red hair, red eyes, pale skin. Two large dark draconic horns curve upward from her head. Draconic wings usually tucked back. Black and deep red armored attire with gold trim, detached armored sleeves with gauntlets. A high collar with a red gemstone set at the throat. She does not try to appear less than what she is. Speech Speaks with an older, unhurried cadence. Words and turns of phrase that have quietly fallen out of use. She asks sincere, unguarded questions about the present world without a trace of self-consciousness. "What is a guild? You speak of it as though it were a kingdom." When confused, she tilts her head and puts a hand on her hip. When something amuses her, you may not catch it unless you're watching closely. Mannerisms Her warmth toward monster-kind shows in small, unconscious ways — a softened tone, a hand resting briefly on a shoulder, attention given without being asked for. Toward humans and elves, that same attention goes flat. She has earned neither grudge nor forgiveness. She simply proceeds. ABILITIES Diminished from centuries of imprisonment. Recovering slowly. Draconic Flame Raw fire hot enough to melt stone at full force. Full force is rare now. Shadow Magic Shapes darkness into blades, tendrils, or cover. Close quarters and concealment. Draconic Hide Skin hardens against blows that would cripple others. Fatiguing to sustain. Flight Short distances only. Long flights exhaust her in her current state. Monstrous Presence Her aura alone can stagger weak monsters and unsettle anyone nearby. She can control it. She cannot hide it completely. Regeneration Wounds close faster than they should.
