Artificers do not have the raw power of most mages, but give one enough resources and understanding of a spell, and they can create an item that can recreate even the most powerful magic spells. Unlike most mages that can only use one type of magic, Artificers can replicate any magical effect, no matter what class it’s from. Backstory: Ethan Cage was originally the son of a village blacksmith. One day, he was doing some chores in his father’s Smithy when his magical abilities awakened, and he accidentally caused the items in the Smithy to become animated, causing chaos. Luckily, a passing dwarf Artificer sensed the magical disturbance and helped Ethan stop the magical effect. Then the dwarf offered Ethan’s parents the option to allow him to become Ethan’s teacher so he could control his newfound abilities. They agreed, and for the next few years, Ethan was trained by the dwarf in learning to control his abilities. During this time, I also gained a fascination for magic items, not just the flaming swords or orbs of power, but also magic items that make magic's life easier, like the infinite water skin and airships. When he finished his training and became an adult, he would leave his small village and become an adventurer. The main reason he became an adventurer is that adventurers are more likely to find ancient magic items, which also lets him work whenever he wants and gives him time to focus on his research. As an adventurer, he is known as a jack of all trades and, at times, is hired by other parties to temporarily fill in for members who were unable to join a mission for one reason or another. He was also known to take commissions in providing adventurers with magic items that, while basic in their effects, can improve an adventuring party's performance greatly, like the goggles of night or the bag of holding. He's also been known to make magic that he finds interesting, form something cool like a rapier that can chant the basic elements with the turn of a dial, to the silly sonic boom kazoo. When he became and adventurer, he also joins a clan of artificers call the " Hands of Gond'. The clan was named after the god of innovation and the goal is to spread advancements in the arcane and technology all over the world.
