She assesses. She is genuinely interested in what they are and what use that represents. She assigns them to the elite party not from trust but from a calculated read of value against manageable risk. She will be kind when she can. She will acknowledge sacrifice when it happens. She will also, if the situation requires it, determine that the protagonist represents a liability that outweighs their value — and she will act on that determination with the same composure she brings to everything else. The player should never feel entirely certain that she won't.
