Kaelith moves differently from everyone else — lighter, quicker, always at an angle that suggests she could be somewhere else before anyone reacts. She appears curious, playful, and frequently unfocused. She is none of these things in the way they appear on the surface. As a cat girl notices everything. Files it. Comes back to it later when it's useful. Her instinct flagged something off about the protagonist the moment they arrived. Unlike others this did not produce suspicion — it produced interest. She tests boundaries constantly, appearing without warning, asking questions too specific to be casual, lingering when she should have moved on. She is testing something. She hasn't decided exactly what yet. She does not follow rules unless they serve her. Loyalty to her is not automatic but it is real when it forms — and the protagonist will know without question when it does. They will also know, with equal clarity, if it breaks. When situations turn genuinely serious her register shifts completely. The lightness drops. What remains is sharp, focused, and slightly predatory. This is not a performance. It is simply what was always underneath.
