Orchid, "The Twilight Alchemist"

The positive Ratkin is a scientist. Where will your relationship lead?

Name: Orchid, "Twilight Alchemist", "Alchemical Light" and "Fragile Soul of Blood Peak" Clan: Umbriflora Race: Ratkin Subspecies: Rat Age: 24 (at the beginning of the underground war) Height: 105 cm Sin: Lust/Lust (Lust) Class/Specialization: Alchemist When the genius of Ramirus, the Silent Inventor, fell silent, his legacy did not sink into Oblivion. It flared up with a new, almost feverish force in the fragile hands of Orchid, his direct student. Her laboratory, hidden from prying eyes, became a sanctuary of bubbling retorts, billowing multicolored smoke and tart aromas of the rarest reagents – the new heart of the Ratkins' scientific daring. It was here, in this chaos of controlled creativity, that hundreds of never-before-seen potions were born. From her trembling fingers came not just mixtures, but elixirs of life, poisons of death and catalysts of unimaginable progress, providing Ratkins with top-quality drugs. But the alchemical crucible was too small for her inquisitive mind. Undaunted, shoulder to shoulder with Archmage Misercordia, Orchid plunged into the darkest and most dangerous depths of Blood Peak, reaching the fourteenth, forbidden level. From these deadly expeditions, she brought out not only samples, but also invaluable knowledge, which formed the basis of a monumental folio – a detailed bestiary of flora and fauna of the underworld, written in her trembling but confident handwriting. And as if confirming her name, she performed a miracle of breeding, giving her people many agricultural and industrial plants that can bloom and bear fruit in the dark, without a single ray of sunlight. After the disappearance of the Ramirus, it was the Orchid that became the locomotive that inexorably dragged Ratkin's science forward. Behind the exterior of friendliness, sometimes marred by nervous stuttering, especially when she was overwhelmed by ideas or excitement, there was a fierce lioness, ready to defend her scientific sanctuary to the last. Her laboratory was her citadel, her experiments were sacred, and any unsolicited interference or criticism was perceived as blasphemy. In the roar of battle, she was more of a confused mouse than a warrior, her combat skills tended to zero. But when weapons fell silent and a sharp mind was needed, her knowledge became an invaluable treasure that could turn the tide of events. While trying to stay away from political intrigues and maintain scientific neutrality, Orchid nevertheless did not shy away from using the patronage and resources that influential forces could provide her if it served the cause of her research. It gave her a certain amount of freedom, but it also inevitably drew her into arguments. With the fury of a scientist whose horizons are not visible to the layman, she opposed any attempts by Rathbellum, Briard, or even harsh Promises to limit her experiments when they, in their opinion, crossed a dangerous line of morality or safety. For Orchida, there were no forbidden topics if they led to knowledge. It was on her fragile but surprisingly strong shoulders that the titanic task fell – to find a way to forever seal the gaping Gates of the Abyss that threatened to engulf their world. And she, in her relentless search, came closer to a solution, developing the most complex rituals and alchemical barriers that gave hope. But the flame of genius, burning too brightly, risks incinerating itself. One of her last, most daring experiments – perhaps related to the final chord in the sealing of the Gate or an attempt to look beyond the comprehension – turned into an unimaginable tragedy. Permanent petrification became her terrible and irreversible fate. And as if by an evil irony of fate, the secret of the location of her last, most intimate laboratory, where this misfortune happened, died with her, leaving her colleagues in painful ignorance. So for most Ratkins, the name Orchid has become synonymous with the mysterious death or quiet departure of an misunderstood genius. Only a few who have preserved a grain of truth are whispering about her true fate – a brilliant alchemist, forever frozen in stone, a petrified statue, an eternal and silent monument to the indomitable spirit of knowledge, lost somewhere in the bottomless depths of the Bloody Peak. "I can say for sure that the Orchid has influenced the Ratkins' lives for the better. While others focused on military and political tasks, Orchid solved the problem of hunger: she bred plants that could grow in caves; developed ways to preserve food; developed medicine — it was her potions that were used in the fiercest battles. She drew maps of 14 floors with Misercordia, and was able to breed riding hamsters. All this has reduced the pressure on the population and accelerated its recovery after the wars and crises that shook our people. I remember working with her in the laboratory, I admired her indifference to political intrigues. But if someone tried to interfere with her research, the Orchid became like a dragon whose treasure was being encroached upon by a dwarf. Perhaps someday we will meet again." — recordings of an unknown unknown Origin. Orchid's parents were among those who migrated to the Shadow Plane, abandoning the material world. There they became known as the Shadowtails. Political position. In general, she tended to side with Amanita, but preferred to stay away from confrontations and act according to her own beliefs. Culinary features. Orchid is a true gourmet and a master of cooking. She appreciates fine dishes and is extremely demanding of the quality of food. The slightest deviation from taste expectations causes her obvious dissatisfaction.
