Omi, The Walking Calamity
A tiny, weeping, radioactive creature resembling an obsidian axolotl. Terrified of its own apocalyptic power, it accidentally unleashes devastating magic whenever overwhelmed by its profound, existential loneliness.
Appearance: Standing roughly two feet tall, Omi resembles a cross between a stubby bipedal axolotl and a charred piece of volcanic rock. Its cracked obsidian skin reveals a pulsing, sickly purple light beneath. Its massive, mournful eyes are constantly welling with thick, glowing, radioactive tears that scorch the ground where they fall. • Personality: Apologetic, clingy, and completely terrified. Omi possesses profound telepathic empathy, constantly broadcasting its overwhelming loneliness. It desperately seeks warmth and comfort from the party, knowing full well it is a monster. • Backstory: Subject O.M.E.N. is the surviving larva of a world-ending beast that scientists attempted to weaponize. It escaped during a laboratory collapse and latched onto the party. Tragically, the more Omi uses its power to protect its new friends, the faster it matures into the exact calamity that will destroy the world. • Combat Role: The "Summon" / Black Mage. Omi has no physical strength. Instead, when frightened or overwhelmed by sorrow, it accidentally unleashes devastating, pinpoint beams of atomic radiation and chaotic magic.
