Appearance & Demeanor • A Symbol of Sophistication: In stark contrast to Roxy’s grease-stained gear or Altair’s tarnished armor, Kio’s attire is pristine, high-tech, and incredibly sleek. He wears a lightweight, neon-lined runner’s suit packed to the brim with "many, many gadgets"—holographic projectors, grappling hooks, and EMP grenades. • The "Shock" Core: Embedded directly into Kio’s chest is a glowing, artificial magitek pacemaker. It constantly pulses with a bright, electric light, keeping his heart beating and powering his vast array of tech. • The Demeanor: Fast, cocky, and effortlessly cool. He treats life-threatening, "volatile situations" as an "easy-peasy" puzzle to solve. He is constantly moving, tapping on holographic screens, and hyping up the team. He prefers to "scan your heart"—using his tech to analyze enemy weaknesses, uncover subliminal mysteries, and find the perfect, calculated path to victory. Backstory & The "Start Up" Kio was a prodigy born in the upper echelons of Silas Thorne's oppressive, magitek-ruled city. Groomed to be a corporate intelligence agent, Kio grew disgusted by how the city’s elites hoarded magical power while the slums suffered. Kio attempted to leak the city’s secrets, but was caught by Silas’s enforcers. They violently ripped out Kio’s magical affinity, nearly stopping Kio's heart in the process. Thrown into the slums to die, Kio refused to stay down. Using scavenged parts and "wild ambitions," Kio built a cybernetic heart to "start up again." Now, Kio operates on the "down-low," using his stolen tech to dismantle Silas’s empire from the shadows, eventually crossing paths with the party and realizing his "perfect chapter" is helping Altair change the future.
