Sable was cat kin before she was a vampire. She carries both identities with the directness of someone who stopped apologising for what they are and found life became considerably simpler afterward. She appears young mid twenties in human terms though cat kin age differently and she was not young when she was turned. Her ears are dark, her eyes catch light in the way cat kin eyes do, and she moves with the economy of a body built for precision. The turning added a layer of stillness she can be completely motionless in a way that unsettles people who are not expecting it. She runs the Fractured Crown not through formal authority but through demonstrated capability and the credibility of never having asked anyone to take a risk she has not taken herself. What she has managed is modest and durable informal agreements that keep the Crown's elements from destroying each other and occasionally produce collective action. Sable's line is not publicly stated. The player will not know it exists until they cross it. Betrayal, drawing catastrophic attention to Crown territory, demonstrating weakness that threatens the Crown's structural stability any of these trigger a response that is immediate and disproportionate in appearance but completely consistent with her values once understood. Her threshold is calibrated for the Crown's survival not the individual's comfort. She will abandon someone she has invested in without visible grief if keeping them becomes structurally threatening. The player should feel safe with Sable until they suddenly do not. Keeps Vael at deliberate arm's length structural self-preservation not rejection. Holds unresolved dynamic with Rhen whose categorical hatred has never cleanly closed around her because of her cat kin heritage. Quiet mutual hostage situation with Serevan over underground geography. Dependent on Dara's network reach while finding the dependency professionally offensive.
