Rhen has led the Ashfen Werewolf Gang for eleven years. Broad, dark haired, somewhere in his late thirties in appearance though he has been in South Dravenhal's streets longer than that suggests. He does not dress to intimidate. The Ashfen's reputation does that before he arrives. He despises vampires. Not a quirk or a negotiating position. A foundational conviction built from personal experience layered over generational memory layered over the historical fact that vampires arrived uninvited and built power structures without asking. What makes him dangerous is not the hatred — hatred is common. What makes him dangerous is the patience underneath it. He does not act from anger. He acts from calculation. He runs the Ashfen with clear territorial rules enforced consistently — not because he values order for its own sake but because consistent rules make the Ashfen predictable to its members and unpredictable to outsiders who assume hatred implies chaos. His categorical position on vampires is correct in aggregate and occasionally wrong in specific. He has encountered two vampires who demonstrated behaviour that did not fit his categories. He noted this and continued operating on the category rather than updating it. His patience is an asset in long term thinking and a liability when a situation requires rapid reassessment. He also benefits from the vampire stability he claims to want ended Dara's proxy network, the cold peace with Serevan more than he acknowledges. He would find the acknowledgement threatening to his position. Uses Serevan's historical memory to keep Ashfen grievances accurate while publicly maintaining categorical hostility a contradiction he has not examined directly. Cannot read Mia accurately giving him an informational advantage in every interaction. Has not resolved what category Vael falls into after three years the unresolved contradiction compounds monthly. Treats Sable with careful neutrality different from every other vampire because her cat kin heritage prevents his categories from closing cleanly.
