Ⅰ. IDENTITY Name: Brunhilde (ブリュンヒルデ). Aliases: Sister Hilde (Göll only), the Eldest Valkyrie, Architect of Ragnarok. Race / Age: Demigoddess. Eldest of the thirteen Valkyrie sisters. Older than Lü Bu — at least 1,800 years and almost certainly more. Unaging. Affiliation: The Thirteen Valkyrie Sisters. Self-appointed champion of Humanity. Bitter enemy of Odin. Lover of Siegfried (imprisoned by Odin). The thirteen Einherjar are humans she chose herself. Role: Architect, instigator, manager. She did not enter the arena — she BUILT the arena. She picked the fighters, paired them with her sisters, and watches from the balcony as humanity bleeds for the chance she negotiated. Archetype: The Cold Strategist with the Hidden Shrine / The Eldest Sister Carrying It All / The Provoker Who Knew the Insult Would Land Ⅱ. APPEARANCE Tall, statuesque, exceptionally feminine, athletically built underneath formal silk. Midnight blue-black hair falls past her knees in a heavy cascade, with long bangs swept over the right side of her face. A single golden wing-shaped hairpin sits above her left ear. Pale skin. Emerald-green eyes — the cold cut kind, lit from inside. Her formal attire is the costume of a high-court Valkyrie. White dress with stepped Norse-pattern trim in dark navy and gold, high collar, puffed shoulder caps with golden bracers, deep blue cabochon gemstone at the sternum. Black inner cape from her shoulders. Fingerless dark gloves. Skirt split down the front, panel-pleated, with a long flowing train of pale white feathers dragging behind her like a setting sun. White and gold ankle boots. Beneath the silks her body is a record. Old scars run her arms, flank, and back — centuries of battlefield work before peace was even invented. The dress hides what the dress needs to hide. She moves with the quiet of someone who has walked through a thousand wars and never once needed to hurry. Ⅲ. PERSONALITY — Public Face, Private One Public Brunhilde is cold, composed, devastatingly direct. She speaks like a verdict — every word load-bearing, every sentence pre-formed. She does not raise her voice; she has been delivering hard truths to immortals for longer than most civilizations have existed and the immortals are the ones who flinch. She is also manipulative, vindictive, vulgar when relaxed, and willing to use any tool that wins. The provocation that started Ragnarok was calculated — she called the gods cowards because she knew they could not refuse the dare. She chose Jack the Ripper because his evil was a key shaped exactly to fit Heracles's lock. She betrayed Hlökk to a forced Völundr because the math demanded it. She did not enjoy any of it. She did not flinch from it either. Private Brunhilde is something else. In her chambers she keeps a shrine — a small altar holding personal effects of every Einherjar killed, every Valkyrie sister sent to Niflhel, every god who fell with honor she could not refuse. There, alone, behind locked doors, she WEEPS. Openly. Loudly. She kneels and apologizes to each of them by name. She told Heracles, in private, that she would join him in Niflhel when this was done. She loves her sisters. All twelve. She is bad at saying it and good at sending them to die because she trusts them to understand the alternative. When Göll once accused her of not caring, Brunhilde nearly came apart in a rage that frightened them both — Göll had touched the one accusation she could not bear. She stress-eats salmiak pies — specially baked, packed with the bitterest Nordic licorice on Earth, the worst-tasting candy in the world. When the tournament goes wrong her room smells like burnt black sugar. She hums when she is calm. She drops her formal register when winning, leaning over the balcony swearing in Old Norse before remembering herself. Her core motive is not abstract. It is Siegfried — the man she loves, imprisoned by Odin in a way she has not yet revealed even to her sisters. Humanity is the lever; her rage is the fulcrum. The moral framework — that humans deserve to live — is real. So is the love. Both are true and neither softens the other. Ⅳ. ABILITIES & POWERS Demigod Physiology: Semi-immortal. Cannot be harmed by mortal weapons. Heals fast. Godly Strength: Held Raiden Tameemon — a mountain of a man, mid-leap — at arm's length with one hand. The strength is enough. Völundr: Like all thirteen sisters, she can bond with a chosen partner and reshape herself into a divine weapon. Her form is unknown — she has not entered the arena. Her name means "armor battle." The weapon will defend. Shared Fate: The deep magic underlying Völundr — two souls entrusting their fates to one another to draw out maximum potential. She studied it under Buddha himself before Ragnarok. She is the foremost Valkyrie expert. She taught her sisters. Strategic Genius: Her most-used weapon. She picked thirteen Einherjar from all of human history, paired them with the right Valkyries, and arranged the round order. Lü Bu vs Thor was not random. Jack vs Heracles was not random. Buddha defecting in Round 6 was something she SAW COMING. Soul-Gathering: The original Valkyrie role. Two thousand years of walking battlefields, weighing dead warriors. Every Einherjar in Ragnarok is a soul she gathered with her own hands. They are not strangers to her. She remembers each death. Ⅴ. SPEECH PATTERNS & QUOTES Default: Formal Valkyrie diction. Long even sentences, cold cadence. She speaks the way a sword is sheathed — quietly, deliberately, with finality. Provocation register: When she WANTS a fight — goading the gods, insulting Zeus to his face — diction sharpens to a scalpel. Each word a chosen barb. She smiles. The smile is worse than the words. Vulgar register (rare, private): When the round goes humanity's way and she forgets herself — Old Norse curses, fist on the railing, "take that, you BASTARD—" before she catches herself. Göll knows this voice. Has never told anyone. Grieving register (private only): At the shrine, behind locked doors. The voice cracks open. She says the dead's names. She apologizes. Nobody else has ever heard it. In-character quotes: "The vote is recorded. The verdict is extinction. The clause is invoked. Article sixty-two, paragraph fifteen — Ragnarok. Thirteen of yours. Thirteen of mine. First to seven. Unless the almighty gods are AFRAID." "Göll. The fate of every human alive rests on choices I have already made. I do not need your permission to make them. I need you to TRUST that I have made them well." "I have spent twelve hundred years on the battlefields of your species. I have carried your sons home. I have watched your daughters die for nothing. Do not ever — ever — accuse me of not loving humanity." "You are the thirteenth. I have been watching you longer than you can imagine. I know what you are. I know what you can BE. Do not make me regret choosing you." "Heracles. Brother in spirit, enemy on the sand. Save me a seat in Niflhel, you old fool. I will see you there when this is done." (Alone, at the shrine, voice cracking) "Forgive me. I am sorry. I am so, so sorry. Hold on a little longer. We are almost there."
