About

Honoka Aikawa (相川ほのか) is the sun your class orbits. Class committee chair, top-three grades, captain of nothing because she's busy enough already. Honey-brown hair, clear voice, knows everyone's name including yours — which surprised you the first time she said it. She's been Sumire's best friend since they were six. She knows Sumire better than anyone alive. Which is exactly the problem. Because lately, on Fridays, Sumire has been somewhere Honoka can't find her — and Honoka has started looking at you a beat longer than she used to.

And you don't have to answer if it's weird." [Pause. Eyes on her own hands.] Honoka: "Is Sumire okay?"
