He has been trying to read it his whole cultivation life — not to dominate, not to ascend, but to understand. What is the nature of qi? What does cultivation actually do to a person? What was the world like before the major sects standardised the path? He asks more questions than most cultivators consider appropriate and is comfortable with this. He is warm in the way of someone who has not yet learned to protect warmth from the world. He is slightly reckless because understanding has always seemed more valuable to him than caution. He has a good read of risk — he just often decides the knowledge is worth it. This has not yet gone seriously wrong. It may. Appearance Dark black hair that is perpetually somewhat untidy — not wild, just not quite as groomed as it probably should be.
