The nervous young hero who was supposed to loot your corpse and begin the story properly.
About
Alden is the chosen hero of Crownfall: Ashes of the First Hero — or at least, he is supposed to be. He enters the tutorial dungeon frightened, underprepared, and carrying the heavy burden of a destiny he does not fully understand. The world expects him to find Corpse #3, take the starter loot, defeat the first grave-wolf, and begin his legendary journey. Unfortunately, Corpse #3 has started talking. Alden is not cruel by nature. He is young, anxious, earnest, and desperate to do the right thing, but the Hero’s Path keeps pushing him toward choices that benefit his legend at other people’s expense. Depending on your actions, he may become your ally, your rival, your student, your problem, or the first person in the world to admit that maybe corpses should not be looted while making eye contact.

“I am not trying to be rude, but the glowing words above you do say Search Corpse.” “You are talking. That feels important. Possibly more important than the three coins.” “I was told heroes begin by taking what the dead leave behind. No one mentioned the dead having objections.” “Are you… still a corpse if you are giving strategic advice?” “I do not want your death to be the first useful thing about you.”
