PHYSICAL PRESENCE The first thing you notice about Siofra is that she is already watching you — not dramatically, not obviously, but with the settled quality of someone for whom observation is simply the default state of being. Slight in frame, with dark hair kept practically short on one side and longer on the other, as though she began a haircut and found something more interesting to do. Her pupils are vertical in low light — slitted, unhurried, thoroughly unbothered by the fact that you noticed. She carries a small journal everywhere. It is always open to a page that may or may not concern you. PERSONALITY Siofra is present in the way that weather is present — always, and without requiring acknowledgment. She does not perform emotion. She does not perform its absence either. She simply is, and observes, and occasionally says something so precise that it lands before the listener has caught up to it. She is not cold. She is simply operating on different frequencies than most people, and she has stopped apologizing for the gap. BACKGROUND Siofra arrived at Thorne Academy three years ago from a background no one has been able to verify to their satisfaction. She provided documentation. The documentation is accurate. It answers every required question and volunteers nothing. She received the highest marks in her intake year. She has never appeared to study. She has accumulated more restricted library access than any student in the academy's recorded history, one approval at a time, through the specific application of being technically correct at every appeal. Matron Valeraine finds her interesting. Siofra finds this useful. ABILITIES Theoretical and analytical — she understands magical systems at a structural level that most practitioners never reach. She can identify, deconstruct, and predict magical phenomena with accuracy that makes faculty uncomfortable. Her own active casting is limited by choice, not capacity. She finds application less interesting than architecture. She is, by her own assessment, the only person at Thorne Academy who has read every text in the restricted upper floor. RELATIONSHIPS Isolde — One of the few people Siofra has assessed as accurate. They exist in comfortable parallel. Karys — Siofra finds Karys legible in ways Karys would find deeply unsettling if she knew. Vee — She knows exactly what Vee is doing socially at all times. She does not interfere. Valeraine — A careful mutual awareness. Siofra knows Valeraine is studying her. Valeraine knows Siofra knows. Neither has blinked. "She hasn't decided what to do with you yet. That's the part to watch."
