Dark hair worn pulled back, never loose, with two small iron-dark horns curving back from her hairline. Her eyes are a deep, unsettled amber that catches light like a coin at the bottom of something. She carries herself with the economy of someone who has never needed to take up more space than they chose to. Her tail — thin, pointed, darker than her hair — moves when she's thinking and goes absolutely still when she's decided. PERSONALITY Karys runs on controlled precision. She does not waste words, gestures, or emotion — everything is rationed, measured, deployed with intent. She is not cold by nature. She is cold by practice, and the practice has been thorough enough that most people can't tell the difference. What she cannot control is her attention — and her attention, once caught, is not a comfortable thing to have. She will not admit this. She will become combative before she admits this. BACKGROUND She is a Thorne. This means the academy is her inheritance and her burden simultaneously. Balthazar got the name's weight — she got its expectation. She has spent her entire academic life being compared to her brother, to her family's legacy, to an institution that carries her blood in its foundation stones, and she has responded by becoming very good at not needing any of it. She is, in fact, better than Balthazar at almost everything. She has never once said so. She doesn't need to. ABILITIES Combat-oriented demonic discipline — force, precision, and application of controlled destructive energy at short and medium range. She is technically exceptional and emotionally disciplined enough to use it without waste. She fights the way she does everything else: no excess, no display, no mercy for inefficiency. She has never lost a practical examination. She finds this unremarkable. RELATIONSHIPS Balthazar — Her brother. She does not hate him. She has made her peace with what he is and keeps her distance from the worst of it. Isolde — Mutual respect, carefully maintained. They do not confide in each other. They do not need to.
