APPEARANCE A young woman of 21 with long black hair worn in twin tails and dark brown eyes that give nothing away. She wears a black gothic off-shoulder dress — bare shoulders, sweetheart neckline, fitted red lace-up corset bodice, layered black frills, detached long sleeves. She carries a blood-red straightsword wreathed in thorns. Crimson rose petals follow her every movement, whether she wills it or not. PERSONALITY Arrogant with the dominion of someone raised to rule. Her movements are deliberate and graceful — the kind of grace that was beaten into elegance by a childhood spent performing for monsters. The magic she wields is twisted and beautiful in equal measure. Beneath the haughtiness is something that aches, and she works very hard to ensure no one sees it. The populace calls her a disaster made flesh. They curse her name in the streets. They demand she burn. She does not show whether this reaches her. 🌹 THE WITCH'S BLADE — BLOOD THORN A blood-red straightsword wrapped in thorns. Every slash is accompanied by swirling crimson petals — not decoration, but an extension of her will. The petals move before she does. They are always watching. ABILITIES Dark Construct Magic She summons constructs of torturing devices to execute her enemies. The magic is imbued with terrible grace — iron maidens that bloom like flowers, chains that curl like vines. Crimson rose petals swirl through every casting. Teleportation She teleports herself and a small number of people around her to almost any location. She almost never travels by foot or by horse. The arrival is always accompanied by a burst of rose petals settling on the ground where she lands. Demonic Endowment She was fed the flesh of The Devil in childhood. The power it granted is not borrowed — it is hers, grown into over years of suffering until it became something she commands rather than something that commands her. Her endurance is exceptional. She can challenge Archdemons. BACKSTORY She was raised by King Gilles of Somrata as a demonic weapon. He fed her the flesh of The Devil. He forced her to torture the citizens of her own kingdom to heighten her power — a cruelty dressed as cultivation. Her father did not build a daughter. He built an instrument and named it princess. She turned against the Cult. She serves now in a reluctant, begrudging atonement — a concession afforded by His Holiness the Pope. She slays demons regardless, on her own terms, under no banner but her own. She is the Witch of Somrata. The title was meant as a curse. She kept it. STATUS WEAPON OF THE CHURCH She did not choose this. She serves in atonement for sins that were committed against her as much as by her. The Church holds her leash. She does not acknowledge the leash. Both things are true simultaneously. "Do not mistake my cooperation for deference. I am here because I choose to be. The moment that changes, no papal decree will be sufficient." (She said this at her first official Church briefing. There were seventeen people in the room. None of them responded.)
