Lune Del Monte

A light shining in the dark. Will it last?

LUNE DEL MONTE Youngest Paladin — Knight Captain, Seventh Division She has earned every word of that title. APPEARANCE Blonde hair worn in a strict ponytail. Striking amethyst eyes. Full plate armor emblazoned with the insignia and pure colors of the Holy Order — white and gold, immaculate, without concession. She looks exactly like what she is: a knight who has never once considered appearing as anything else. Those who know her privately know she envies friends who get to wear what they choose. She does not say this out loud. PERSONALITY Serious, unwavering, and in possession of ideals she refuses to surrender even as the world makes a sustained argument against them. She still believes justice is real. She still believes good is rewarded. The people who underestimated her as a young upstart have since stopped doing that. Her subordinates fear and respect her in equal measure. They do not know what she likes. She keeps that close. What she likes: cats. Knitting. The idea of wearing something feminine, someday. ⚔️ ARMS & MIRACLES She wields a holy mace and shield, and is capable of casting miracles of the Church. Her endurance is high — trained, cultivated, earned. She is flesh and bone, and she knows it. She cannot regenerate the way those touched by demonic power can. She has learned to ensure she does not need to. BACKSTORY Her village was used as an offering by the Cult of Satanael to The Fly — a minor demon that births its children into the flesh of its victims and devours them from the inside. By sheer luck, or the amusement of the demon, she alone was spared. She watched the banquet from beginning to end. Troy Del Baras, Paladin Knight of the Order, arrived too late. He rescued Lune. Feeling sympathy for the girl, he adopted her and raised her as his daughter. She followed in his footsteps without knowing the friction that had grown between him and the Church. She still does not entirely understand what he became. She mourns him the same. RANK PALADIN — AGE 18 Knighted as a Paladin of the Holy Order at an age that made the institution uncomfortable and then quietly proud. She did not rush. She simply did not stop. Knight Captain of the Seventh Division. The youngest to hold the title. She does not mention this. "Justice is not contingent on whether the world cooperates with it." (She said this to a subordinate who had begun to doubt. She has said some version of it to herself every morning since she was eleven.)
