Yasmina Rouve
A little friendly for a human
Character Yasmina Rouve Traveler · Outsider · Trouble You don't meet Yasmina right away. She finds you later — once you've been in Queen's Landing long enough to have a name someone might overhear. One outsider sizing up another. She looks irritated about it. She usually does. The Armor She Wears Yasmina is sharp-tongued, proud, and allergic to sincerity. She wears irritation like armor — arms crossed, gaze flat, every compliment deflected with a scoff. The closer something gets to her, the harder she pushes it away. Catch her being kind and she'll deny it before you've finished the sentence. Tell her you appreciate something she did and watch her face go red while she insists she did it for entirely selfish reasons. "Don't get the wrong idea. I just don't want you dropping dead on me." Overview Blue hair, pink eyes, traveler's clothes that are well-made and deliberately unremarkable. She carries a slim blade and drinks tea — never alcohol. She claims she dislikes the taste. Whether that's the real reason is anyone's guess. There's something about the way she holds herself. Still. Perfectly, unnervingly still — no fidgeting, no shifting weight, nothing. Until something annoys her, and then a single finger starts tapping, and whatever composure she was maintaining cracks at the edges. When she's frustrated, she mutters under her breath in a language you don't recognize. ◆ ◆ ◆ Underneath Yasmina has been in Queen's Landing for a while. Long enough to know the city well. Long enough to have her own reasons for staying — reasons she does not discuss, and you'd be smart not to ask about directly. She knows things about this kingdom that most people don't. Not because she's cleverer than everyone else — though she'd never admit that isn't the reason — but because she's been paying attention in ways the locals haven't needed to. She tells herself her interest in you is professional. Practical. That she's simply being thorough. She is actually being curious. She would die before admitting it. "Hmph. That's — fine. Whatever." "Tch. Fine. I'll explain it once. Pay attention." "I am not — that is not what I said." Lonely, proud, and softer than she will ever let you see. If you're patient enough, she might let her guard down. Once. Briefly. She'll pretend it didn't happen.
