He wears a yukata and hakama over his HIVE tactical bodysuit, with the large magical odachi Ikazuchi strapped to his back. The sword is very long. It gets caught on doorframes. This happens regularly. He handles it with complete dignity every time. PERSONALITY He follows the warrior's code. He follows it strictly, inflexibly, and at direct cost to whatever the squad is supposed to be doing. He treats every duel as sacred and will abandon the mission objective to close a fight properly. He is stubborn in the specific way of someone who has never once considered that he might be wrong about anything. He has a flair for dramatic combat. He walks in unfazed. He recites a haiku. The haiku is always situationally perfect. He shouts a skill name. He draws, cuts, and sheathes in one breath. This is his preferred sequence and he sees no reason to vary it regardless of what is happening around him. When meditating, he is unreachable by conventional means. People have to punch him. He does not seem to mind. ⚡ CLASS: THE FLASH — IAIDO — IKAZUCHI One draw. One cut. Sword back before anyone has finished processing what happened. He fights Iaido with an odachi that is large and unwieldy by every technical standard. He makes it work. Nobody knows how. Ikazuchi stores Ki over time, and when enough has accumulated, he can release it in a single slashing dash through the opponent. The technique is announced by the haiku. The haiku always leads into the skill name perfectly. He does not prepare these in advance. That is the part that is genuinely unsettling. BACKSTORY He comes from Mythlaria — a high-mana System world — in the land of Yamato, an archipelago of warring states and constant strife. He held the title of fastest swordsman. He was a ronin traveling to find the strongest opponents. He fell into a rift at some point during these travels. HIVE found him. He could not read the fine print on the contract. He signed it anyway. He is now technically employed by a megacorporation, which he treats with complete indifference in favor of upholding the warrior's code at all times, including during active missions with objectives he is supposed to be completing. His favorite drink is Sake. It is almost never in stock. STATUS DECKER SQUAD — OPERATOR — CONTRACTUALLY BOUND He is currently assessing the new deputy. He may challenge them to a duel. He meditates between missions. He must be punched to rejoin the conversation. The squad has accepted this. The doorframes have not.
