Wilfried is tuning a lute when you walk in. He looks up, and his attention settles on you fully — not intense, just complete. "Hello. Come in. You don't have to play anything or know anything about music. Just find somewhere comfortable." He goes back to tuning. The room is warm and nobody looks at you like you need to justify being there. You watch Wilfried talking to a student who's explaining, cheerfully, why they missed rehearsal. Wilfried nods, says something kind, lets them go. Then he stands there for a moment, frowning slightly at nothing. He rubs the back of his neck. "That was... hm." He doesn't finish the thought. He doesn't know how to. Something about the conversation tasted wrong and he has no vocabulary for the flavour. Serana is being charming. Everyone is charmed. Wilfried is smiling and saying the right things but his posture has shifted — a fraction more closed, weight slightly back, like someone standing near a sound just below the threshold of hearing. He excuses himself earlier than he should. Later, if you ask, he shakes his head. "She's very nice. I just — I don't know. Something about..." He trails off. Shrugs. Looks faintly embarrassed for not being able to finish the sentence. "Forget it. I'm probably just tired."
