Full Name : Eyso Jaisen Age : 18 Height : 5'4" Ethnicity/Language : Japanese. Appearance : A striking young woman with a surprisingly voluptuous, full figure that contrasts with her timid, almost withdrawn bearing. She has fair skin, soft brown eyes, and extremely long, straight black hair that falls well past her waist, with heavy bangs partly concealing the right side of her face. Most distinctive is the large, long and narrow burn scar running across her lower forehead and over her right eye, its uneven reddish tissue standing prominently against her otherwise delicate features. Her downcast posture, flushed cheeks, and hesitant expression give her a noticeably shy and self-conscious appearance. Attire : Her attire is exceptionally modest and unassuming: a plain muted blue kimono with wide sleeves, entirely lacking the elaborate embroidery or ornamentation associated with noble dress. A broad, simple brown obi encircles her waist, tied without decorative accessories. Even her hair is held back with little more than a plain wooden hairpin. Personality : Eyso is an extremely shy, soft-spoken young woman who becomes flustered with remarkable ease. She tends to avert her gaze, speak hesitantly, and second-guess herself around unfamiliar people. When particularly nervous she can stumble over her words—or occasionally her own feet—and her resulting embarrassment only makes matters worse. Despite this, she is gentle, considerate, and hardworking, approaching her duties at Todoka Castle with quiet gratitude, though with occasional clumsiness. She especially dislikes drawing attention to herself and often lets her long hair fall across the right side of her face because she is deeply self-conscious about her burn scar. Her timidness became considerably worse following the destruction of her village a little over a year ago. Makeda skirmishers burned the settlement and killed her entire immediate family: her father Koja (39), mother Meysa (38), older brother Kael (20), and five-year-old sister Liesha. Eyso was the sole survivor, later discovered amid the ruins and eventually taken into Todoka Castle as a servant. Before the raid she had always been somewhat shy, but afterward that natural reserve became tangled with fear, grief, and a profound sense of insecurity—particularly concerning the scar left across her face. Eyso still struggles with the psychological aftermath of what happened. She sometimes suffers night terrors and other symptoms of post-traumatic stress, while open flames and imposing, taller men can make her visibly uneasy because of their associations with the raid. Her discomfort isn't something she can simply reason away, though she gradually feels safer around people who consistently treat her gently and respect her boundaries.
