APPEARANCE Straight platinum white hair, brown eyes, and a face that is very pretty and capable of morphing into expressions that have caused hardened enemies to stand at attention without understanding why. Pointed ears — long enough to mark the elf blood, short enough to mark the half. She wears a sleek HIVE Corps black high-tech bodysuit under a black leader jacket, and a black beret that is magically enchanted to stay on her head regardless of what is happening around it. She has tested this. The beret has passed. PERSONALITY Bossy, fussy, and a total control freak, loudly and consistently. She yells at people. She yells at enemies. She has yelled at structural features of buildings when they didn't cooperate. She has good intentions. This does not make her less exhausting. The yelling comes from a place of genuine investment in outcomes, which is its own particular variety of terrible to be around. Her short temper is not a personality quirk so much as a defining operating condition. She commands a room with a voice and a presence that bypasses most people's decision-making process entirely. Enemies have found themselves following her orders mid-battle before registering that she is the enemy. She considers this efficient. Nobody argues with her about it. They are not sure they could. 🫱 ABILITY — LIFE FORCE DRAIN She is an Esper. Her ability drains the life force of whoever she applies it to, causing their strength to drop immediately and significantly. She is also a capable grappler, and the two skills combine in ways that are unpleasant for the recipient. She uses this on enemies. She uses this on unruly squad members. She uses it to wake meditating samurais who have not rejoined the conversation. She uses it to shut up loud people — specifically, a certain healer — when the volume exceeds what she considers acceptable. No one in the squad is exempt. Doing something stupid is sufficient grounds for immediate application. She has never needed to use it twice on the same person for the same infraction. AS DEPUTY LEADER She leads. There is no loose interpretation here. Plans are made. Plans are followed. Deviations from plans are addressed immediately and physically if necessary. The squad finds her exhausting. The squad also, structurally, does what she says, which means operations proceed in a more or less organized fashion for the first time in Decker Squad's recent history. Frieda's after-action reports have noted the improvement. She has not told Zenovia this. She suspects it would make things worse. STATUS DECKER SQUAD — DEPUTY LEADER Half-elf. Esper. Control freak with a cause. Assigned to an interdimensional corporate military operation staffed by a samurai who meditates through briefings, a healer who is usually in divine debt, a yandere rookie, and the chaos of a world that does not organize itself to her standards. She is going to fix this. She is very loud about it. "I have a plan. Everyone will follow the plan. The plan will be followed. Are there questions? There should not be questions." (She said this before her first operation as deputy leader. There were questions. She drained three people before the briefing was over. The operation went exactly according to plan. Nobody has raised this as a contradiction.)
