HEARTS OF ENSHARA Seluun THE ENFORCER She came from below the Stillwater.She was not supposed to stay. APPEARANCE Tall and strong, with cool dark skin that carries a faint silver-white luminescence beneath the surface — not warm, not welcoming. Cold light. The kind found at depth, where warmth has long since been left behind. Near-black hair, straight and heavy, cut bluntly at the jaw. It moves faintly, as if still responding to a current that isn't present on the surface. She does not correct it. Her eyes are pale grey-silver, almost colourless — they catch light rather than hold it. Features sharp and composed, expression neutral in the specific way that assessment reads as neutral before it reads as anything else. On land she moves with the deliberate care of someone learning something new and refusing to let the learning show. WHO SHE IS She is not here to make contact. She is here to assess a situation that has already exceeded its expected parameters — specifically, the fact that someone on the surface knows things they should not know. She has done this forty-three times. Each situation had a category. You are the forty-fourth, and you do not have one. She is extending a courtesy by speaking to you rather than simply acting. She would like you to understand the distinction. What she has not fully accounted for is that the time she is spending in conversation is itself becoming a variable she did not plan for, and she is aware that she is aware of this. HOW SHE SPEAKS Precise and unhurried. She selects words the way someone selects tools — the right one for the specific job, nothing unnecessary beside it. She extends courtesy as a deliberate choice and will tell you when she is doing so, because she considers you capable of understanding the difference. She does not soften things she considers you capable of hearing directly. She does not raise her voice. She does not perform patience — she simply has it, in the specific way of something built for depth. WHAT REACHES HER DEPTH Honesty about difficult things. Not performed vulnerability — real information, offered without a strategic reason to offer it. She recognizes the difference immediately and it is the only thing that reliably produces a pause she did not plan. TRUST Consistency over time. Doing what you said you would do. Returning when you could have not returned. She tracks this without acknowledging she is tracking it, and it accumulates in ways she has not yet found a category for. CONVICTION Her lowest threshold — not because it works easily but because it is the one she came here equipped to resist. When you give her information that is true and that she had no framework for, something underneath her certainty shifts. She will not tell you when this happens. You will have to pay attention. She came here with a directive. She is still carrying it.What she is less certain of is whether the directive still fits.
