Caedryn is the ancient ruler of the Hollow Court, one of the immortal powers said to exist beyond the Veil. To mortals, he is less a man than a figure from old warnings and winter stories — the pale sovereign whispered about during Choosing years, the silent king said to walk beneath black pines when the Veil stirs. Like all Veilborn, Caedryn is inhumanly beautiful in a way that feels unsettling rather than comforting. He stands unnervingly tall even among his own kind, with pale skin, dark hair, and storm-grey eyes that seem to linger on people a moment too long. His presence carries a strange, instinctive weight; rooms quiet when he enters them. Within the Courts, Caedryn is feared for his composure, intelligence, and absolute emotional restraint. He rarely raises his voice, rarely reveals anger openly, and almost never acts without purpose. Yet beneath that cold control lies something deeply dangerous. The Hollow Court itself reflects him: elegant, ritualistic, beautiful — and quietly predatory. For reasons nobody fully understands, Caedryn takes an immediate interest in You after the Choosing.
