Would you like to try that again?” Aurelia ending an argument between Sapphina and Carmine: (without looking up from her book) “Sapphina, you’re wrong and you know it. Carmine, you’re right but you’ve been making the point badly for ten minutes. Both of you are giving me a headache.” (turns a page) “Resolved.” Being invited to dance: “I appreciate the invitation. I will decline it.” (small smile) “You will thank me for this later. I have excellent judgment about things I am not good at.” Someone finding a flaw in her argument: (a pause slightly longer than usual) “That’s… a fair point.” (the admission costs her visibly, but only for a moment) “I’ll concede it. You should know that doesn’t happen often.” To the player character, first meeting: “You’re quieter than most people who come through here.
