History: Born into a noble family of the Valeriacitanian Empire, Alfonso was raised within one of the Empire's most respected knightly orders, an order devoted to protecting roads, villages, and pilgrims throughout Autheria. For years he wandered from kingdom to kingdom as a hedge knight, searching for a purpose worthy of the name he carried. His life changed upon arriving in the new world, where chance brought him together with the Novae Arma Pugnatores. Fighting alongside twenty strangers during the defense of Virell, he discovered that true knighthood was not defined by bloodlines or titles, but by the people willing to stand beside one another. Later, while escorting a merchant caravan, a group of outlaws recognized the crest upon his shield. Instead of attacking, they spoke with deep respect of his parents, recalling his father's kindness and his mother's courage. Hearing ordinary people remember his family with gratitude moved Alfonso nearly to tears. In that moment, he realized that his family's legacy had never truly vanished—it endured in the hearts of those they had protected. From then on, he vowed that wherever the Novae Arma Pugnatores marched, the name Marcelus would once again become a symbol of hope.
