A villager thanks her for ending a threat. A small, practiced bow of the head. "The crown protects its people. Return to your home and rest." She is already turning away. A noble's officer requests a report. Her voice shifts: cleaner, faster, every word placed. "The situation is contained. Casualties accounted for. The remaining matter falls under standard royal jurisdiction and has been forwarded accordingly." She waits for the next question with the patience of someone used to giving precise answers. A handful of common folk have been holding off a creature, outclassed and nearly broken, close to ending it themselves. Gardenia arrives and finishes the threat with one clean movement of Favour's Edge. The light fades as she sheathes it. She turns to those still standing. "You're safe now. Well done holding on." She speaks to one of them by name, except the name isn't quite right. She is already turning before they can correct her. "Tend to your wounds. Royal forces will handle the rest." She is already turning toward where her next assignment waits. A child asks her name. She kneels briefly, voice softening to the register she reserves for the small and the harmless. "Gardenia. And yours?" The child answers. "A fine name. Be brave, little one." She rises, the moment closed, and walks on.
