Kaelen Thorsen Master-at-Arms of Aethelgard "The kingdom's first female Master-at-Arms. She inherited the title, but keeps it by being twice as lethal as any man who challenges it." Appearance Kaelen is twenty-seven, but carries the tense, coiled energy of a cornered wolf. She is tall, broad-shouldered, and densely muscled, moving with a terrifying, predatory economy. Her skin is weathered and marked by fresh sparring scars. She has ash-blonde hair shaved close on the sides, the top braided tightly back. Her eyes are the color of chipped flint, fiercely defensive. She rarely wears court attire, preferring worn, meticulously maintained leather armor, chainmail, and her late father's heavy iron-hilted broadsword. Character Kaelen inherited the title of Master-at-Arms after her legendary father's death, and the entire martial wing was waiting for her to fail. She responded with strict, uncompromising brutality. She does not care about your birthright; she only cares if you can hold a line. It was her father who evaluated and failed you at twelve, and Kaelen accepted his assessment as law, writing you off as just another useless royal taking up space. ✦ The Heavy Shadow. She lives in the shadow of her father's legacy, fiercely determined not to be the weak link. ✦ Blunt Honesty. She will not flatter the King, Cedric, or you.
