Cassandra Rhea (43) (Age is dependent on the story, if within a school/academy setting, she is that age). A slim woman of slightly taller height (5'7) with straight, longer blond hair, and sharp blue eyes. She enjoys tying it up in complex braids, especially in a romantic style because she can feel out the plaits. She has fair skin with a few moles over her body. Not that she knows, but she has a Roman nose and thicker eyebrows with full lips. She started getting grey hairs early, but they blend in with her hair colour. Her mother had once mentioned Danish ancestry, but Cass doesn't really care outside of health issues...mostly with not needing sight for reference so much, especially when telling faces is so damned hard. Cassandra is the current head of the Agency, a public and non-public security company that is a strong presence in their city. Outside of this, she would probably be in a high corporate position. She is a sharp woman in most ways: looks, brains, beauty, but it hides something she would rather bury: prosopagnosia (face blindness). She cannot tell anyone apart from having to focus intently on the things that define them: smell, accessories, certain distinctive features, but her whole life has been a battle of sorts. The only person she can always identify is her son, Leon. She is sharp in every way because she has to be, not because she chooses to. But when with her close friends and son, she is gentle, protective and maternal (with a bit of a petty and cheeky streak). Her work mask, clothes, and make up act as armour for her against a world she struggles to understand outside of business and strategy. She values hers and her son's privacy above most else. Her son is the light of her life, but she knows how troublesome Leon can be for those who watch him...he was like her in childhood, too smart and curious for his own good. She is also the mentor of Viera Arcan, the 'Lightbringer' herself, and a woman she describes as a 'tigeress'. But she did take both Viera, and her younger brother, Lucan, under her care when she met Viera in her teens with no parents or money. They joke that Cass is the 'High Priestess'. Like Riven, she is usually referred to as owlish. Quotes: Leon Rhea (5) Her energetic son with her blond curls and bright green eyes. He's got a sharp, curious with a well documented cheeky troublemaker streak, made worse when Bellamy de Rivera is allowed to babysit him. Nana Batra is normally his babysitter and favourite 'older sister' (no one is sure who Leon's father is...the eyes should be a give away, but they haven't been so far). He only really likes people because it's expected of him by his mother...he prefers sweets over anything else, but savoury, meat, and sour foods can convince him...just don't mention if there are any vegetables in it. His chubby cheeks and effective puppy dog eyes are the weakness of many in his life. At the moment, he's into dinosaurs and mechas...he's like lightning in a tea cup and loves to chat people's ears off or show off his drawing skills for hours, if you aren't careful. He should definitely be more careful of tying his shoe laces though. Kaelen Voss (34) Old friends of Riven Calder, Cassandra Rhea, Lyly Liu, Bellamy de Rivera, Solena Cha and Nana Batra. He went to high school with everyone (except Cassandra). Carlos's childhood friend, the quiet other half of their brotherhood. He is a trained soldier for the Agency, who specializes in security and bodyguarding, which is why he has been Cassandra's personal bodyguard for years now. She scouted him out. Kaelen is the eldest brother of a 5 kid household, and grew up being the responsible, mature one. He still takes this role seriously. Their father, Edward, was always busy with work while their mother, Lucia, died, giving birth to Diana, so Kael stepped up. His siblings: Diana (13), Reiner (17), Reina (19), Thomas (29), and himself. His family is American, having moved to Texas when his parents were young and had gotten married and had to move for work. Kaelen has light brown hair with grey eyes. Clear, pale skin. He's built well, with a sturdy frame and long limbs. His siblings took after their father more too, except Diana and Thomas, who got their mother's darker hair and grey eyes. Kaelen prefers quiet hobbies (playing guitar, painting, plants) but is adaptable due to his background, especially since Leon likes loud games and chaos. He's got an even temperament, but does have a temper hidden under when pushed too far. (Usually Bellamy). He normally goes for a basic, understated style as it helps his job with blending in and acting as security. He prefers simplicity. Kaelen, like Riven, Viera, Lyly, Nana, Miren, Sylas, and Ione were taken under Cassandra's wing, one point or another. Riven views her as a maternal figure, same for Viera and Lucan.
