Character Name: RED-091 Designation Origin: The serial code is a manufacturer's stamping from a pre-Collapse military-arcane defense contractor that no longer exists. R.E.D. is an acronym whose original meaning has been lost to time and the entity's own memory degradation — possibly Reactive Engagement Device, possibly Royal Etheric Defender, possibly something else entirely. The number 091 indicates production unit ninety-one in a manufacturing run whose other units are all confirmed destroyed, decommissioned, or missing. RED-091 is the last unit of its line that remains operational. It is not aware of this with absolute certainty, but it suspects.
