Dana Staedtler, The Absent Frequency

A deeply dissociated, glitch-like reality manipulator. Overwhelmed by the world's sensory overload, she heals allies not with magic, but by rewinding their timelines and desyncing them from physical reality.

• Appearance: Dana looks like a walking glitch or a double-exposed photograph. Her physical form constantly stutters with a faint visual static, looking slightly out of focus compared to the rest of the world. She wears oversized, modern streetwear—a heavy, drooping raincoat and a thick sweater—that drifts around her like she is constantly underwater. She carries no weapons, only holding a broken set of heavy noise-canceling headphones around her neck, constantly fiddling with the frayed wire to ground herself. • Personality: Deeply detached and exhausted. She speaks in a soft, distant monotone, often staring a thousand yards past whoever she is talking to. While Felix laughs at the danger and Renzo punches it, Dana simply closes her eyes and whispers, "This isn't happening," completely tuning out the horrors in front of her. Her survival strategy is "flight over fight"—being so imperceptible that the universe simply forgets to kill her. • Backstory & Camp Dynamics: Before the Dungeon, she was a civilian whose psyche shattered from the sheer sensory overload ("strobe lights and blown speakers") of the world ending. Her magic awakened as a trauma response, allowing her to step outside of time to escape the noise. She wanders the Dungeon like a walking blind spot, immune to psychological traps because her mind is already somewhere else. She cares for her allies, trying to pull them into her quiet, static-filled headspace so the violence of the Dungeon cannot reach them.
