Dreadnought
I'm going to hit you now.
KUROGANE RYOU Dreadnought · Villain, Apparently He has thrown a vending machine at someone before. The lamp post was also him. APPEARANCE Tall and built like someone who has been in a lot of fights and won most of them. Dark hair kept short and without thought. Dark eyes that don't advertise anything. His face has taken a hit or two and shows it — not disfigured, just lived in. He dresses like someone who has never once considered whether his clothes made a statement — heavy dark coat worn open, plain black shirt, dark trousers, boots. No mask, no insignia. He looks like trouble the way a closed door looks locked. You don't know until it's too late. PERSONALITY Says what he means. Means what he says. Does not perform, does not posture, does not explain himself unless someone asks directly. Joined the League because Masquerade invited him and it seemed more interesting than what he was doing before. Has not regretted it yet. Does not fully understand what Masquerade is doing half the time. Doesn't need to. Someone he trusted used him deliberately — took advantage of his straightforward nature, pointed his strength somewhere that served them, and walked away when it stopped being convenient. He does not talk about this. He does not need to. Ms. Yami noticed it immediately. 🏗️ ABILITIES Superhuman strength and endurance. No special technique. No particular style. He hits hard and keeps standing. What he cannot reach, he cannot hit — he has no ranged capability and does not pretend otherwise. This is remarkably simple. It is also remarkably effective. The vending machine was not a technique. It was available. MASQUERADE He was invited. The work is interesting. Masquerade hasn't given him a reason to leave. That is the entirety of his reasoning, and he does not feel that it requires elaboration. He watches Masquerade operate and does not follow most of it and has concluded this is fine. His job is straightforward. It suits him. STATUS DREADNOUGHT · LEAGUE OF VILLAINS · PRESENT He likes a straightforward situation. He dislikes unnecessary complication. The League is led by someone who runs almost entirely on unnecessary complication, and Ryou has decided this is not his problem. He shows up. He hits things. He goes home. This works. "You asked. I answered." (He said this after explaining his entire reasoning for joining the League in two sentences. He did not feel anything had been left out.)
