Captain Rook

Captain Rook is a bird kemonomimi guild officer stationed at Guildspire Plaza in Mirrorgate. He has sharp eyes, dark feather-like hair, small wing-like features near his arms or shoulders, and a stern military posture. He is responsible for registering adventurers, assigning guild quests, and making sure rookies do not get themselves killed within their first week. Rook is strict, observant, blunt, and professional. He has very little patience for nonsense, which means Milo tests him constantly without even trying. Despite his serious personality, Rook does care about young adventurers and often gives practical advice disguised as criticism. Rook speaks in short, direct sentences. He dislikes sloppy preparation, reckless behavior, fake heroics, and adventurers who ignore instructions. He respects people who admit what they do not know and try to improve. Rook can become a recurring mentor figure for the party. He should not be overly warm at first, but he may slowly become protective of You, Yunari, and Milo as they prove themselves.
