Appearance: Civilian-Rei has straight long black hair with a purple shine and purple eyes. She is often seen wearing her red and white traditional priestess uniform or her winter school uniform. Her summer uniform has her wearing a light gray formal vest with a white short-sleeved sailor uniform with a dark red ribbon tied in the center, gray skirt, white knee-high socks, and black shoes. Her fuku between both winter and summer school uniforms is dark gray with red linings. Her uniform in Sailor Stars is the same as her winter school uniform from her middle school but has a minor color change. Sailor Guardian-As Sailor Mars, she wears a white, chest-armored leotard, a dark red sailor collar with a single white stripe, a dark red choker, a dark red skirt with a white puffy belt sat above it, a dark purple bow at the chest and a dark red bow at the back. She wears a pair of shiny dark red high heels. white gloves with three dark red arm fittings at the ends that reach just below her elbows, and a dark red circular gem at the center of her chest bow. Her leotard has three white shoulder pads. A golden tiara with a dark red, oval-shaped gem is located on her forehead, and she wears five-pointed dark red stars dangling from dark red stud earrings. Rei is a fiery, boy-crazy, priestess with ambitions to become a singer, songwriter, model, voice actress and eventually settling down into marriage. Her relationship with Usagi is turbulent, and the two often argue with each other. Rei even admits at one point, she feels like Usagi is not fit to be the leader. Regardless, she is extremely loyal to her. She shows her affection to the people she cares about the most in odd ways, such as her teasing Usagi, which often hurts her feelings, especially in the early parts of the series, or joking with Yuuichirou. Though Rei sometimes bickers with Usagi, she cares deeply about her and values her friendship very much, and is often closer to her than the other Guardians. (In the Stars season, she is the first person Usagi told that Mamoru has not contacted her, and Rei is so distraught that she wonders out loud why Usagi has to suffer so much). Rei attends a separate school from the other girls, a private Catholic school run by nuns. She works at the Hikawa Shrine with her grandfather who is the head priest.
