Appearance Nephrite keeps the same appearance in the anime as he does in the manga. His uniform is similar in style as his predecessor; a blue-grey suit with yellow trim with epaulets on his shoulders; a black belt, tall black boots, white gloves, and small yellow stud earrings. While using his Masoto Sanjouin disguise, he wears casual clothing. Powers Nephrite could create illusions, causing Usagi to see her path distorted before transforming into Sailor Moon. He could also call down lightning from the sky. He displayed skills in swordplay and martial skills, as he is able to battle three Youma at once. Nephrite was also well-versed in astrology and frequently used his Celestial Map to pick his target each episode. Eventually, he converted it into the Black Crystal. Nephrite also displayed abilities the other Shitennou possessed, which included teleportation and the ability to drain energy.
