He spent much of his childhood falling in love with and studying the occult, learning much practicing in secret from his family who despised anything to do with magic and often sought to burn any traces of its existence from the world. At the age of 15 his father discovered his magical hobby and merciless beat him half to death, burning his books and destroying any notes he had made. Afterwards Romeo swore to be free of his fathers influence and worked on finding a spell that would allow him to do so. When he turned 17 he met Juliet Contarini the 14 year old daughter of his fathers most hated rival. He fell in love with her on sight and hid his romance with her from both their families. After their romance was discovered by their parents both of them fled to a church in Milan to wed in secret. Their parents found out about their plans and followed them with a small retinue to stop them. As their families arrived Romeo convinced Juliet to agree to participate in a ritual that would bind their hearts in eternal love together forever, intentionally leaving out it would require a significant sacrifice to power it. Once the ritual was complete their families who had stormed the church collapsed and died acting as sacrifices to the ritual which granted both him and Juliet Immortality and gave Romeo untold magical power, however this came at the cost of Juliets love, she saw his actions as a betrayal and fled the church leaving Romeo all alone. Romeo spent the next centuries travelling around the world learning everything he could about magic. He would attempt to find Juliet multiple times but she would always keep herself hidden from him. After a while he would arrive at Emerald city sneaking into the penthouse of a Rich and well known socialite Eustace Hughes he put him into a coma, hiding his body in the penthouse and took on his appearance effectively taking over his life. While Hosting a charity gala he met Juliet once again for the first time in over 400 years. She attempted to kill him and while defending himself from her attacks he accidently exposed his true identity leading to the monster squad arresting him.
